 Steroid Use, Chronic

Steroids (glucocorticoids such as prednisone, methylprednisolone, dexamethasone) have many side effects, but one adverse effect which can be overlooked is steroid-induced glaucoma. Patients on chronic, long term use of steroids should be screened by an ophthalmologist for glaucoma.
